Saudi consulate attack: Alleged terrorist remanded to police custody

Zaki alias Kamran, who is accused of involvement in the hand grenade attack on the Saudi consulate, was remanded to the physical custody of the CID police for a week on Monday.
He was produced before the new administrative judge for the Anti-Terrorism Courts, Justice Faisal Arab, by the CID police.
They asked for remand, stating that he belonged to the outlawed ‘Lashkar-e-Mehdi’ group.
They said he was also involved in an attack on a mosque and in sectarian killings.
The CID requested custody to collect evidence and arrest his accomplices. The judge granted the request till November 28.
