HARIPUR: An alleged robber was shot dead by his accomplices over the distribution of looted cash valuables in Alooli village, police said on Monday. Muqadar Zaman, a resident of Alooli, told the police that four robbers entered his house around midnight on Sunday and decamped with Rs200,000 in cash and 263 grams of gold ornaments after holding the inmates at gunpoint. On Monday morning, locals spotted the body of one of the robbers, Fiaz of Guraki village. The complainant identified Fiaz as one of the four robbers, who according to police and some villagers, was shot dead by his accomplices after an argument over the distribution of looted cash and valuables. However, other villagers said that Fiaz was injured by the inmates of the house, who opened firing at the robbers as they were fleeing after the robbery.
