According to information provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Karachi declared their second-innings on their overnight total of 432 for nine to set Sialkot a challenging target of 350.
The hosts, however, were not able to pose any credible threat and were bundled out for a paltry 135. Test discard Tanvir Ahmed picked up three wickets to finish with seven wickets for the match while Wajihuddin also picked up three scalps.
ZTBL record easy win
Meanwhile, ZTBL also registered a convincing 133-run win over fancied HBL with Rehan Riaz starring with a five-wicket haul. HBL, in pursuit of an unlikely victory target of 376, resumed at 101 for three and were bowled out for 242. Bilal Shafayat starred with 66 and Hasan Raza supported him well with 45 but ZTBL were eventually able to seal an easy win.
Ali, Sadaf thwart NBP
In another match, SBP eked out a hard-fought draw against NBP, ending their second-innings on 183 for nine, while chasing a victory target of 314.
Mohtaham Ali’s 65 and Gulraiz Sadaf’s 46 proved crucial in ensuring the draw as Wahab Riaz and Qaiser Abbas finished with three wickets each.
Earlier, NBP had declared their innings closed on 313 for five, with Abbas top-scoring with an unbeaten 79.
