MULTAN: Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) will award scholarships to poor children under the banner of the Child Support Programme (CSP) so that they may complete their education. “The programme will only support registered students,” officials said on Saturday. Initially, students from Multan, Bhakar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Quetta and Peshawar will benefit from the funding. Every deserving student will receive Rs300 from PBM sources. Pakistan Baitul Mal in-charge Malik Rubab said that the PBM will start the second phase of the child support programme from next month after releasing funds for this purpose.
