Golf: Young Me wins ladies’ golf event

South Korea’s Cho Young Me clinched the fifth Pond’s Ladies Golf Tournament.

KARACHI: South Korea’s Cho Young Me clinched the fifth Pond’s Ladies Golf Tournament as she outplayed 19 other golfers participating in the event at the Karachi Golf Club yesterday. Young Me won the competition with 39 points, while another South Korean Ahn Gui Ja and Japan’s Kazuyo Arae shared second place with 31 points each. Ghazala Zafar, HK Park and former Sindh amateur women champion Tahira Nazir all bagged 30 points each to come in third in the tournament that covered 18 holes.
