Katy Perry plans career break
According to New York Post newspaper, the 27-year-old will finish her "California Dreams" tour next week and she has told her management team that she intends to take a year off to be with her husband Russell Brand and start thinking of family.
Perry's final show is at Los Angeles' Staples Centre Nov 23, however, she is scheduled to perform a one-off concert in Manila in the Philippines Jan 22, 2012.

@FAZ: Unlike the maasi who comes to your house to do the dishes or cleaning, or at least of one the houses of people you know, Katy Perry has the luxury of having a choice when and where she wants to work. Your typical working women, whether a blue collar or middle class white collar one (those few that are there) don't have this luxury. So you can't ask our NGOs to comment, unless you commit to a welfare model like Scandinavia with 50% income tax and 25% VAT on top of that, all going towards a nice maternity leave as well as unemployment benefits for all women.
