Khobaib Hussain, Ishaaq Hussain and Shahid Kasam Khan, all 19, and Naweed Mahmood Ali, 24, were charged Friday with engaging in conduct in preparation of terrorist acts contrary to section 5 (1) of the Terrorism Act 2006.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said the charges related to suspicion of fundraising for terror purposes and of travelling to Pakistan for terror training.
"These charges are in connection with Operation Pitsford, a major counter terrorism investigation that has already seen eight people charged and appear in court," he said.
The four men charged Friday are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court in central London.
They were all arrested Tuesday at their homes in the Sparkhill area of Birmingham, Britain's second city.

@anwar: "Even a Pakistani Judge would throw them out but not in Britain- It’s the beacon of freedom you know."
Yes Pakistani judges throw out cases even against chief of LeJ. Ajmal Kasab's sworn testimony that he was trained by LeT and David Headley's sworn testomony that he was directed by ISI in the Mumbai terror case is thrown out by Pak courts also.
You are implying that Pak courts constantly freeing terrorists is a good thing and seem to chastise Britain where terror is taken more seriously. This is the exact opposite of what most people around the world would believe. This is why Pakistan is getting isolated,
@anwar: Yes, perhaps you are right, but they do have a case to answer and in UK, we do not put garlands around their necks nor throw rose petals or get intimidated by anyone. These are our cockroaches and we will deal with them thru our Judiciary, which actuallt works and is respected, unlike Pakistan's which is fast becoming laughing stock in the world!!!
@anwar: "Cases based on innuendo and here-say ..."
Remember Blasphemy Law? Charges based on innuendo and here-say are admissible in pakistan, even people are free to kill them. First look into your own house dear."charged for fundraising for terror purposes, of travelling to Pakistan for terror training" . And you wonder why your considered the Nexus of terrorism?
Cases based on innuendo and here-say held together with left-over terror taboo. Even a Pakistani Judge would throw them out but not in Britain- It's the beacon of freedom you know.
