Accident: 8-year-old injured by fodder shredder

Boy’s hand got stuck in the cutter and he injured his other hand trying to free himself.

KHANPUR: A young boy lost his right hand and severely injured his other hand while preparing fodder on an electric cutter machine on Friday.

According to village residents in Hujja Abbasian, the boy’s hand got stuck in the cutter and he injured his other hand trying to free himself. According to Zahirpir police, Nadeem Ahmed, 8, was cutting fodder when his hand got sliced off by the machine. The family rushed the boy to a local hospital from where he was shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan. Doctors said that he has lost the use of his right hand but that his other hand will heal.
