Cleanliness Campaign: Students join Safai Gang

About 100 students along with teachers and administrative staff welcomed the LWMC team.

LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company’s (LWMC) clean-up plan for schools continues and many students have become part of its Safai Gang. For its third campaign, the City District Government Junior Model Middle School on Chohan Road was selected. About 100 students along with teachers and administrative staff welcomed the LWMC team. Students made speeches on ‘Clean Lahore’. They also wrote tips on how they could maintain cleanliness in their school as well as the city. The purpose of the activity was to inculcate a sense of sanitation among the youth. The students participated in various activities including painting, poetry writing and speeches on city sanitation. A presentation was also made by the LWMC communication team. Students pledged to keep the city clean, respect sanitary workers and teach others to stop littering.
