24 former PML-Q parliamentarians, nazims join PTI
PTI chairman Imran Khan welcomed the former PML-Q parliamentarians' and party workers' decision. Khan said anyone could join his party, but party tickets would only be given to those who sincerely declare their assets, Express 24/7 reported.
Khan also said that the establishment cannot control the PTI as it is driven by “a vision” and that his party is not an heirloom that his children would inherit.
The PTI chairman criticised the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and accused them of engaging in dynastic politics of give and take.
As reported earlier, the PTI Sindh leadership said that the former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will join Khan’s party soon. Qureshi is expected to make an official announcement during a rally being held in Kashmore on November 27.

IK-----------Be watchful. If you fail for wrong reasons, the hopes of Pakistanis will be dashed for a long time to come. Its about the vision not making the government today. Lotacracy in action.... all lotas founded by General Pervez Musharraf are now under the patronage of his political successor Captain Imran Khan Niazi. Both are backed by the conspiring establishment. The only difference is that General Pervez Musharraf was a dictator in uniform and Captain Imran Khan is a dictator without uniform. What an irony with the country called Pakistan! :((

Well it will also be good if this newspaper publishes the names of these 24 people who were going to join the PTI.This way we would be able to know who they were. On the other hand,Mr Imran Khan shouldn't try to fill the 170 seats of parliament all by himself.It's impossible for one party to do so and one shouldn't keep impractical targets.He should,after the elections,form a coalition government with either the JI or the PML-N. Finally,the PML-N also needs to improve it's working.Period.
Well it's 6 days on and we haven't heard anything about these '24' leaders who were going to join the PTI.So the problem here is that all the politicians are either slow or indecisive.This way it is not at all going to work.They need to 'hurry themselves up'. On the other hand,the PTI's choice for the place of their jalsa was not at all good.I mean of all the cities,Chakwal! Ok,the PML-N had to hold jalsas in Faisalabad and Gujranwala,but they could still have gone for Sialkot or Multan.That would have made a lot of impact and shaken the hell out of their opponents. The final question again is that why aren't the top leaders of the PML-Q quitting their party and joining other ones?

Imran Khan is following BB footsteps. Remember she first drwan up a list of demands to negotiate with Gen Mus. The list started shrinking when the Mush admnistration agreed for talks and eventually came down to one demand. Suspend all the corruption cases and the NRO came into being. Now the listof purty is shrinking down to the declaration of assets and that would also disappear once the quota is found below the required level. Beefore concluding any forecast, please be informed that today, Pakistan is on the bring of collaps. The moment of truth is knoking its door. Imran Khan or any other mighty or Taliban khan can not make any difference. The issue is far serious and grave than corruption and bad governance. let alone riding over the mighty shoulder of Military establishment to reach the power corridor and then making tall claims. Wow Imran and his fans are the biggest hypocrates you will ever see. All old faces (which by the way are siyasi yateems) joining him and their excuse is rural politics is different so by that standard other parties cant be blamed for doing the same. I think he should accept Musharraf/Choudhries as well just dont issue them a ticket to contest elections, unless, obviously they declares their assets.

Its refreshing to see young generation taking a keen interest in countrys politics but I think they are not mature enough (politically) to realise that Imran is simply playing into Army's hands
Smart political decision, Anybody can join PTI because: 1) It will increase PTI vote bank throughout pakistan. 2) It will give PTI 3 to 4 candidates option from one contituency to choose from. Then PTI will be able to nominate clean & reputable candidate for next election from that constituency. 3) last but not the least according to PTI policy tickets would only be given to those candidates who sincerely declare their assets & are corruption free.
Imran Khan's hard work and dedication to bring about a change may finally become a reality and I believe Pakistanis should support him 100% both in achieving it and working hard towards it.

For 2013 elections, he needs lotas to come into power. But by 2018 if he performs well, I guess PTI will be self sufficient to pick people of their own choices. I hope some good lotas joins PTI. Good lotas means least corrupt.

Imran Khan! Be careful of blind inclusion. Lots of non-qualified and corrupt members will take the party down by discouraging honest people to come forward. Just like a college full of failed students make the good student think twice before getting admission there. Even if one is sure of his/her own skills s/he still won't agree to play among losers. Take only fresh cadets now. The losers were not going to be taken up by big parties anyway, you could pick them up anytime! I say pick people like yourself__ with a vision, an ambition, a resolve. Wrong people will bring bad name to your team beside failures and later revenges.

In the past 2 weeks, all those who were with Musharaf in his regime, now joining Imran. At the end Musharaf will also join, so they will bring change??? Musharaf + Imran = Establishment (Military and Civil)
It is 15 months away from the election and he has already relxaed his criteria. The prgression is as follows: 1) Only onest will be allowed to join 2) Only those who declare their assets will be allowed to join (this is not the same as honest. you could have got your assets through corruption. Also you may not declare the complete list of your assets. Even Zardari and Sharif have declared their assets - does he consider them non-corrupt?) 3)Only those who declare their assets will be given tickets.

And on a personal note, there are some good people in all these corrupt political parties that now have a choice to make, and they are making it fair and square! In the end, it's all about Pakistan :)
Grass roots rural electoral strategy has to be different from the urban strategy. People is doing a good job in picking up people who control the rural electorate. Rural electorate is mostly not interested in urban politics and really don't care whether IK becomes PM or Zardari becomes PM. Their vote is for their biradari, and representatives of these biradari have to be taken on board so seats can be won in rural electorate.
So its a more practical strategy, elections in Pakistan cannot be won by words, promises and intentions alone.
Now you see after 30th October, all political parties are worried about PTI & their experienced politicians, having influence on critical areas, are moving to PTI. For the time being, i guess its a good move by IK to make an impact overall. But later on, for sure he has to filter out the good candidates for elections & important positions with PTI.

This is an interesting comment from PTI chairman about the dynastic claims of the 2 major competing parties. The disfunctional and undemocratic parties that have ruled Pakistan, on and off punctuated by ambitions military rulers because of that , should serve a warning to others. All I can say is well done Imran Khan - it is about time someone took the decision to make Pakistani party politics more democratic, more transparent and much more Pakistan focused and orientated.
I have been a member of PTI for about a year and a half and never have I doubted the leadership of this man. But with the whole Qureshi drama going on, I keep thinking that maybe the sudden popularity might be too overwhelming for IK...But then I think to myself, I trust this man to make the right calls at the right time...I do have reservations about a certain crop of people joining hands, but I don't doubt the ability of his to lead all. So let's hope for the best and believe in practically the only believable leader around.
