Express November 17, 2011

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Thursday that Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan “cannot dictate the parliament.”

Malik made the statement while addressing assembly members in the parliament house. He was speaking in reaction to Chaudhry Nisar's statement that “anti-public” policies are being implemented in the country.

The interior minister also warned Nisar against dictating the assembly. He said the parliament must “form a code of conduct for the Opposition Leader.”

Malik said that Nisar should “stop giving instructions as a teacher in the assembly.”

He also called for an end to the blame game and to let the government perform its duties.

Malik added that Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Altaf Hussain has facilitated democracy and PPP is with him all the way.
