Amir Khan has sparked fears of a rift with Manny Pacquiao by claiming the Filipino would lose to pound-for-pound.

Its obvious why Khan is saying this, coz he himself want to fight Mayweather and break his streak(which he think he can do),and know if Mani take on Mayweather before him, there would be no point to fight a fighter who lost his streak to Mani!!!!
khan is just saying that because he wants to fight floyd & knows he has no chance if he fights pacquiao
I agree with Amir Khan, Manny should retire. There's nothing more for him to prove to the world. Now is the right time for him to retire. It was obvious, after 3 bouts with JMM, he proved he can't beat him, quite the contrary, he was the one getting beaten. I, too is a filipino, i watched most of Manny's fights and i jump each time he connects and screamed when he knock out his opponent but on Nov 12!!!???, he was not there... he need to retire..he don't need anymore money, he's got plenty of it, honor, he's earned it, as a Congressman? i'd rather like watch him battling with his fellow Congressman about issues and problems confronting the country. Keep the belts Manny and don't fight no more, or you lose..
I dont agree with Marquez stepping on Pacquiao's toes on purpose, when a traditional fighter fights a southpaw, the right hander's lead left foot is parallel with the south paw's lead right foot, which may inadvertently cause feet to get stepped on and bumped/tangled on both sides.
In reference to toes getting stepped on, guess what? As a professional southpaw fighter you stop giving him your toes, step and jab to your right and set your punches up off that movement. Tactically if you are trying to step on my foot, I'll read your eyes, jab or faint at you when you look down...Give you my foot sometime later and shoot a quick left knowing you are going to try and step on it in an attempt to catch you off balance and possibly knock you out...
At this level these guys are too experienced, which makes comments like yours irrevelavent. At the very least even if what you are stating is true, any fighter with 50+ fights should know better and know what to do in that situation, and if they dont know better, GUESS WHAT? They deserve's whats comming to them plain and simple, (i.e. The Ortiz Treatment).
War Mayweather taking it to Pacquiao in May 2012; stoppage by swelling and cuts!
Mr. Amir Khan maybe right because he knows floyd mayweather is good counter slick fighter. He knows his game. Others proclaimed him as the best if not greatest! Even himself, khan has his own opinion but maybe not because there's a time of off nights you're not on your A game! like when (khan) taste his first defeat against breidist scott a 1st round k.o i'm not critisizing amir nor hating him, in fact what a nice opinion! I'm a filipino i want to see both of them clashed on the four side of the ring. What a fight would be if it happens! Lets get ready to rrrrrrumbleeeeee!!! For the boxing fans!
Did Khan saw what Marquez did to Pacquiao? He stepped on his foot 17 times. I teach martial arts and this is also a technique we use to slow down opponents or mess up his balance. It is ridiculous that marquez is claiming that he was robbed. Pacquiao landed more shots and won more rounds than him despite the fact that he stepped on Pacquiao's foot 17 times to slow him down.
