Educational Exchanges: KU to work with university in Kazakhstan

KARACHI: The Hussain Ebrahim Jamal Research Institute at the Karachi University, which works under the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), has signed an agreement with the Al-Farabi Kazakhstan National University for collaborations in scientific research, education and culture. The director of the ICCBS, Prof. Dr Iqbal Choudhary, and the rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakhstan National University, Prof. Dr Mutanov, signed the agreement in Kazakhstan. Student and teacher exchange programmes and a joint PhD programme will also be started. “This agreement will be effective for five years from the date of execution and may be extended. Each party will be responsible for seeking funds to support its involvement in the cooperative activities under the agreement.” said the spokesman of the ICCBS.
