Mobilink posts 6.5 % revenue growth in Q3 2011

At the end of quarter Mobilink had 33,416,969 customers up 6.3% from the same period last year.

Mobilink has reported total revenues of Rs24.45 billion in the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal year -- up from Rs22.95 billion during the same period last year translating into YoY growth of 6.5 percent, said financial stats released by VimpelCom and Orascom Telecom.

The company’s capex increased 67% during the quarter from Rs2.810 billion in Q3 2010 to Rs4.72 billion in Q3 2011.

Mobilink also showed 11% EBITDA growth and EBITDA margin at 41.3 percent during the reported period.

Mobilink’s average revenue per user during the third quarter for fiscal year 2011 stood still at Rs235.6, while each Mobilink customer consumed 197 air time minutes on average per month. Mobilink’s customer churn rate remained at 8.8% during the quarter.

At the end of quarter Mobilink had 33,416,969 customers up 6.3% from 31,444,099 in Q3 2010.

Mobilink will earn still more profit the way they are charging taxes, while pre loading & one each call made. It is a case of double taxation . FBR should check whether or not their tax paid is commensurate with their sale & profit & why this double taxation ?
