Police officials arrested a PML-N MPA’s son Rana Abdul Rahim for brawling while drunk in the Agoki police station precincts on Saturday. According to the police, accused Rahim is the son of PML-N MPA Rana Shamim Ahmed and was arrested with two accomplices after they tried to bribe two men. The pair also assaulted police officials. “They were beating up shopkeepers for not giving them free food and also tried to blackmail several vendors,” a police official said. “When we got there a bunch of people were watching them beat up a man,” he added. SHO Rana Asif Nadeem said a bottle of liquor was seized from the accused. A case has been registered and the three accused have been arrested.
