Health Department officials in Sargodha said that the number of dengue patients was on the rise in Sargodha. “The dengue threat has not ebbed because of dropping temperatures. We still have patients being brought in every single day. This isn’t over yet and people still need to take all the necessary precautions when it comes to dengue,” said Health Department official Rizwan Khan. Three more patients were shifted to the DHQ hospital on Friday evening. According to health officials, Islampura residents’ Abdullah and Mehak were brought in on Friday. Jinnah colony resident Alyas were shifted to DHQ hospital on Saturday after their blood samples were found carrying dengue virus. Up till now 20 patients have been shifted to DHQ hospital in the past week.
