Off The Streets: 14 children rescued by CPB

These children were involved in drugs, begging and litter picking.

FAISALABAD: The Child Protection Bureau (CPB) rescued 14 runaway children from different parts of the city on Saturday. According to CPB officials, those rescued include Aftab, Dawood, Zeeshan, Ali Nawaz, Bilal, Yaseen, Nadeem, Ghulam Murtaza, Irfan Shah, Murtaza, Shahid, Asad and Aqib. A CPB spokesperson told reporters that the children were involved in drugs, begging and litter picking and that the CPB had begun taking temporary custody of such children in an ongoing operation to rehabilitate them. “The children are presently being kept in a CPB safe house where they are being clothed and fed and are receiving best education and training facilities,” he said.
