KARACHI: The Supreme Court adjourned an appeal against an increase in pay for court employees. The appeal was filed by the Sindh government against a judgment by a Sindh High Court division bench that ordered the payment of judicial and other allowances to bring salaries and fringe benefits to par with those recieved by the judiciary in Punjab. At the hearing on Friday, Abdul Hafeez Pirzada represented the government because Senator Babar Awan was busy elsewhere while Rasheed A Razvi Advocate represented the judiciary. However, the hearing was adjourned as the full bench and government lawyer were not present.
