Checking corruption: PIA forms advisory committee

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Managing Director Nadeem Khan Yousufzai has decided to form an advisory committee for prevention of corruption in the air carrier, says a press release. In a meeting held at the PIA head office, representatives of the CBA and other employee associations suggested to the management that in order to bring transparency in the airline’s working and to improve its image, it was necessary that a committee should be formed which could suggest measures for prevention of corruption. The committee will comprise representatives of the management, CBA President Maula Dad Khan Leghari, Palpa President Captain Suhail Baloch, Sasa President Abid Saleem Khan, SEAP President Shaukat Jamshed, Fena President Aziz Saharwardi and ATAP President Najeebur Rehman.
