Tragedy: Youth killed in road accident
GILGIT:
A young man died in a road accident near Rahimabad, 15km off Gilgit on Friday, sources told The Express Tribune. The 26-year-old Aziz Karim belonged to the disaster-hit Attabad village of Hunza. His two sisters, Salma and Sultana, were killed during the January 4, 2010 landslide that claimed 19 lives and blocked the Karakoram Highway and Hunza River. After the disaster he had to abandon his education in Karachi and move back to his native town and provide solace to his grief-stricken parents. Locals complained that due to absence of safety signs on the road many people have met fatal accident.
