KARACHI: The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has planned to promote Pakistani products in Australia through multiple programmes. These include a single country exhibition, ‘Made in Pakistan’ corridor at a popular annual festival and collaboration in human resource training.

Senior Vice President of KCCI Raheeduddin Rashid explained that due to the large Pakistani community living in Australia, there is substantial potential for local products to penetrate the Australian market. He said this during a meeting with the Pakistan Australian Federation (PAF).

KCCI confirmed plans of sponsoring a single country exhibition that would display leading local brands and also hoped to set-up an exclusive ‘Made in Pakistan’ corridor at the ‘Chand Raat Festival’. This festival has been held in Australia for twelve consecutive years and enjoys popularity among foreign communities.

The chamber also proposed the initiation of joint ventures with Australian training institutes so that Pakistan could cater to the high demand for skilled human resources. The joint training would help Pakistanis match the skill requirements of Australian organisations.
