Tribune Take: Talking politics online

In today’s episode of the Tribune Take we take a look at the changing landscape of Pakistani politics, especially online.
Jahanzaib Haque, Express Tribune's web editor, offers his analysis of how the internet is being used by political parties such as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) and former president Pervaiz Musharaf.

Haque discusses the parties' realization of the importance of social media, Shahbaz Sharif is now on twitter, tweeting personally himself, hoping to connect with his voters directly. Haque claims social media can play an instrumental role in attracting the youth vote in the next election.

@Vaqas Asghar: I see you are linked with the media. My query is about the malpractices in shaukat khanum regarding the awarding of tenders on a single bid which is against the norms and misappropriation of funds which was raised in a talk show and replied totally unsatisfactorily by Imran Khan. The source of money on the media campaign with huge sums paid to the transporters and the extravagant jalsa I think a report is also required too and I would appreciate if provided with a link to it too in 0.42 sec on google.
