Arrested: Three target killers and four drug dealers caught

The accused were involved in nearly 40 target killing cases and were affiliated with different political parties.

Alleged target killers, Ikram and Faisal, were arrested by the Anti-Extremism Cell (AEC) of the Crime Investigation Department on Sunday. AEC officials claim that they had caught the men in a raid carried out in Ittehad Town.


One of them said that another alleged target killer identified as Sakhi Rehman was arrested in a raid in Qasba Colony. According to AEC chief SSP Chaudhry Aslam Khan, they seized many weapons, including two Kalashnikovs and two TT pistols from them.

He added that the accused were involved in nearly 40 target killing cases and were affiliated with different political parties. He did not disclose any other details. While talking about the suspects, he said that Ikram had confessed to having killed around half a dozen people, Faisal said that he had killed eight and Rehman confessed to having killed six people. The authorities registered cases against the three men and an investigation is under way. The authorities said that they had also arrested four men from Orangi Town. They said that the men were drug dealers. They seized hashish and two TT pistols from them.
