LAHORE:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court on Monday acquitted PPP secretary general Jehangir Badar in cases of misuse of authority and illegal appointments.

The court rejected the references against Badar, while a case of hiding his property value to avoid tax is still under inquiry.

Talking to the media after his acquittal, Badar said that the cases leveled against him were false. He said these cases were framed by the Musharraf government, adding that he had suffered a lot during those 10 years.

He thanked the judiciary for playing a positive role in this case.
