Eid security: 32 suspects arrested in Karachi

KARACHI: Ahead of Eidul Azha, 32 suspects were arrested from Karachi during raids in the last 48 hours, Express 24/7 reported on Sunday. Thirteen different types of weapons and two vehicles were also seized from the suspects.

The areas where the suspects were apprehended include Suleman Farsi society, Jumma Goth, Kati Pahari, Faqira Goth, Abul Hassan Isphani Road, Nayaabad and Maripur Road.

Rangers were on guard across the city ahead of Eid. Ranger’s officials said that they have devised a comprehensive security plan for Eidul Azha along with other law enforcing agencies.

As reported earlier, customers visiting cattle markets in other cities are concerned over the absence of security personnel in crowded places.

A visit to different cattle markets of Peshawar revealed that the police officials are yet to be deployed in these markets, even when the sale of cattle is in full swing.

“Peshawar is a sensitive area which has witnessed several acts of violence in the past and the absence of police in such a crowded place is a serious matter,” said Gul Rehman, a customer at the market.

“The police should tighten the security in the entire city to avoid any untoward incident during Eid holidays,” he added.

Why Rangers don't raid on the robbers of Zia Colony Site Karachi. They messed of the life of the people who go to jobs on that way to Industrial area. And Site Police support them to get some percentage from robbery. They are snatching everything bike, cell phone even the wallet.

If we dismiss the police department or imprison them all, the whole system will come to life again but alas! police is like a torment upon us, They are involved in every crime and they know the exact location of robbers, killers every criminal.

Good to see proactive and pre emptive steps being taken - this approach should be adopted throughout the year
