Bungling: 3 WASA officials suspended

A Wasa spokesperson said that those employees purposely changed figure to provide undue benefits to a contractor.

FAISALABAD: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) managing director ordered the immediate suspension of three employees. A Wasa spokesperson said that senior Wasa accountant Ejaz, assistant accountant Tariq Ejaz and sub engineer Muhammad Nadeem purposely changed a figure of Rs99,000 into Rs999,000 to provide undue benefits to a contractor Nazeer Shehzad for a sewer project in Chak Dhandra.
