Hunger strike: Young doctors want bigger stipend
Protesting against the refusal of the VC of Benazir Bhutto Medical University to follow the Sindh government’s orders.

Members of the Young Doctors Association staged a demonstration on Thursday and continued their hunger strike for the fifth consecutive day. They were protesting against the refusal of the vice chancellor of Benazir Bhutto Medical University to follow the Sindh government’s orders to pay them an increased stipend of Rs42,500. They said that the doctors in Karachi have been paid the new stipend, but the doctors of the university have not received it.
