COLOMBO:

Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan will have more than the thought of levelling the series against Pakistan on his mind as the country’s cricket board has also told the right-handed batsman to improve his own batting performance.

Sri Lanka Cricket officials have told Dilshan to ‘pull up his socks and perform as a batsman’ while also cautioning the other members of the team to improve their show. Lahiru Thirimanne, who has scored 97 runs in four innings, has also been tipped to find himself warming the bench for the third Test, being replaced as an opener by Dilshan with Dinesh Chandimal set to make his first appearance in the series.
