Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo grabbed five for 90 as West Indies trounced Bangladesh by 229 runs in the second Test to win their first away series in eight years.
Bangladesh were set 508 to win but were shot out for 278. Resuming at 164 for three, they lost the crucial wickets of Tamim Iqbal (83), captain Mushfiqur Rahim (69) and Shakibal Hasan (55) in the morning session.
It was the first series win away from home for the visitors since November 2003. Their last Test win abroad was against South Africa in Port Elizabeth in 2007.
“This feels good,” said captain Darren Sammy. “We knew it was going to be difficult, but this was just reward due to the efforts from the guys and the coaching staff. The coach focuses on constant improvements, and we showed that in this series.”
