Three accused burnt a woman by throwing acid on her after trying to gang rape her on Wednesday.

According to police officials, Chak No266 GB resident Hameeda Ali was burnt by three men after nearly being gang raped.

Before being admitted to the hospital, Ali told police that she began screaming for help and when several people gathered outside the room to try and free her, the accused threw acid on her and fled through the window.

The incident took place in the Rajana police station limits and Hameeda’s husband Asghar Ali told police officials that his wife was alone at home when Shakeel and his two accomplices stormed into the house and tried to rape her. “They tied her up and were going to rape her when she began screaming. Some people heard and broke down the door but the men escaped,” Asghar Ali told police officials. Asghar told police that the accused had also tortured his wife with knives. “They mutilated her face and chest with a knife before throwing acid on her. I want these men found and hanged,” he said.

“They must have heard us in the house and escaped. We found Hameeda with her clothes torn and acid thrown all over her body. I took her to the hospital,” neighbour Shahbaz Rahman told police officials.

Hameeda was taken to Allied Hospital where doctors deem her condition to be critical. “She was barely conscious when she was brought in and she gave a brief statement to the police. She has suffered third degree burns to her face arms and chest. Nearly 70 per cent of her body has been burned and the accused even burned her private parts. It is unlikely she will survive but we are doing everything we can,” said Dr Muhammad Kamran, adding “She has been admitted to the burns unit and is receiving treatment.”

Doctors told police that Hameeda was severely tortured and that her body had been mutilated. “The accused also used masaala on her wounds and she is in terrible pain,” he added.

Police officials are searching for two of the accused but have apprehended Shakeel. Rajana police SHO Jamshed Chisthi said that police had registered a case and were searching for the accused. “We have questioned all the witnesses and her husband says that he Hameeda was previously engaged to marry Shakeel but she turned him down,” he said. “The accused are no longer in the area but we are questioning their family and friends and will arrest them soon,” he said.

The name of the victim and the accused has been changed to protect her identity

Why our so-called religious leader never speak up on issues like these?

To all the “why” question above:

the answer is that NO ONE gives a damn. In fact @Adnan: the pseudo-religious leaders would probably argue that the men are innocent because they were alone with a woman and “shaitan” possessed them and the woman was asking for it.

These sick people really need to be caught and made an example of, so that next time no man would dare to think of a woman with ill intentions with out fear and certainty of punishment.

What shocks me even more, is that the masses are so deadened and numb that they haven’t taken to vigilante justice. Any nation with a conscience and fear of God would take it upon themselves to punish these perverts when the government pretends they dont exist.

Letting them run free means the women of this nation can never be truly free or live in safety.

There can be no justice until these perpetrators are caught and hanged in the public.

Such punishment is the only way these crimes can be prevented.

It is very important that Imran Khan start adopting an iron fist against such criminals.

Public displays are the way to go to ensure that crime is at a zero level.

Imran Khan should hear out the concerns of the rural people.

There is no doubt that he is Pakistans next President, and he has a lot of work to do.

He must get the US out of the region, clean up and crush the crime in Pakistan with an iron fist.

Perhaps a new police force needs to be commissioned?

islamic sharia is our only way out of this terrible state of affairs .It certainly lays down severe punishment for the people mentioned in the above said story .Trying to rape an innocent girl, mutilating her body parts ,throwing acid on her face and putting masaala on her wounds is CERTAINLY NOT AN ACT OF A HUMAN BEING. ALLAH ,The EVERLASTING ,knew that amng His creation ,there would be beasts in human form and hence the law ,both in old testament and Quran ,based on the principle of ‘an eye for an eye ,a tooth for a tooth’. Even if the culprits are caught which is highly unlikely ,giving them even life imprisonment would not suffice the miseries which this girl suffered when they took away her right to live honorably-a fundamental right given by God to every living man .The culprits should be caught and made to suffer the same pains which they inflicted on this woman .May ALLAH grant her speedy recovery and if she dies ,forgive her sins and admit her to paradise. AMEEN.

Alright. It’s time for God to revoke your fire privileges.

@Asif: To get the US out of the region in such a style you have to at least be an even, if not dominant force. There’s a long way for you to go to get there and that’s not just compared to the US. You realistically maybe come in 4th in the general area alone and that’s looking at it from the un-exaggerated view point few inside the country itself are probably even aware of or refuse to acknowledge. Possibly 5th as nukes don’t factor in as usable for any country anymore without extremely rare circumstances.

Imran Khan will be extremely ineffective from a military stand point. The army won’t be allowing him to handle those matters. His claims in that regard are probably the most ridiculous out of the lot.

Some men are lynched, some are brutalized and some are beaten to death even beaten naked after death under the chants of Allah-o-Akber, did anyone hear chanting at the time of this heinous crime, Allah-o-Akbar.
