Security Situation: DPO announces Eid arrangements

More than 2,400 policemen and volunteers would be deputed for the security of the people.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Local officials expect a total of 405 congregations to offer Eidul Azha prayers in the district and stringent security measures are being finalised at each prayer location. District Police Officer Suhail Zafar told reporters on Tuesdy, that more than 2,400 policemen and volunteers would be deputed for the security of the people. He said that walk-through gates would be installed at all mosques and volunteers from different communities had also agreed to work with the police force to ensure foolproof security.  The administration has set up a central control room that can be contacted at 068-9230312.  Meanwhile, authorities have announced a strict ban on the collection of hides by banned outfits and organisations.
