Self-Defence: ‘Attacker’ killed by guards’ firing

LAHORE: A man was killed in a shoot out in Sillanwali on Monday. Police said the deceased, identified as Riaz Ahmed, was allegedly one of the three armed men who had attacked a car carrying Ahmed Sher Bhatti, a resident of Chak 138 SB, and his son Sikandar Bhatti, a former local council nazim. Bhatti told the police the three men intercepted his car near Chak 120 SB and started firing at them. He said his guards fired back, killing Riaz on the spot. The other two fled, he added. Sillanwali police have registered a case on Bhatti’s complaint.
