The Foreign Ministry ruled out all the claims, saying that the series 'Secret Pakistan' has made baseless and fabricated allegations about Pakistan.
The statement termed the series as fiction which cannot belittle Pakistan's sacrifices and contribution in countering terrorism.
On the other hand, the Pakistani army also strongly denied claims made in the BBC documentary.
The army spokesman Major General Athar Abbas described the allegations made by the US and Afghan officials as baseless and malicious.
The BBC series program accused Pakistan of playing a double game.
The series lay blame on Pakistan of acting as America's ally in public while secretly training and arming its enemy in Afghanistan.

@VINOD: Have to!!! Pakistan is my country of birth and like any patriot, I love Pakistan.
The govt and army have been made very clear that the cost of duelity can not be affordable to Pakistan any more and hence they have to be honest to the world community . We hope they are also thinking to act accordingly .
@Soho: Sir, These denials are for the people of Pakistan and not for outsiders. So why worry.
My friends, in the eyes of the world Pakistan has been standing court and facing trial for the last ten years now. Let's shake off our unhealthy obsessions with India and its concomitant military narratives and bring hope and prosperity to this land.
Strong denials by Pakistan defence and foreign ministry regarding its links with Taleban clearly indicates that the whole documentary by BBC was stage-managed with fake witnesses and thus aired with malafide intentions against this country. Therefore, GOP must take BBC to court and take up this issue with UK govt as well. However, its looks quite improbable that such a media icon would stake its credibility and reputation through falsehood.
Why BBC news is always controversial in Pakistan? After all England is our friend in war against terror. After all BBC NEWS help the democracy by bringing the Sub-Continents Closet Issues out in the front to be solved. Unfortunately due to our high accidents & corruption rate there are obviously more Pak issues than anyone's else's in the neighborhood.
@Waleed: It is not that easy to take BBC to court. Firstly it is a documentary which is bound to be biased and secondly why should we take them to the court. If they think we r playing double game then they should take us to the court, not Pakistan taking them.
One hundred lies do not make one truth
Pakistani officials instigate terrorism not for ideological reasons but to enable them to enhance their defence budget that they then utilize to line their own pockets.
How would the Foreign Minister know anything about the doings of the ISI? President Asif Ali Zardari attempted to have the ISI report to him when he first got in office - they said NO. Pretty clear to the rest of the World that no one in the Pakistani govt has any control over the ISI so making excuses for them appears to be pretty lame.
That took an awfully long time for such a short statement.
BBC should also prepare documentaries on funding and training programs of CIA and MI5 and other of the creed in almost all countries. Their genocidal strategies in the name of national and strategic interests must also be shown to whole innocent world. BBC must show all dinners and lunches at White House and other such places hosted for terrorists and extremists. ISI is no exception. After all, ISI has been a comrade-in-arms of CIA. we are harvesting the seeds sown by them for last 30-35 years. But this is time to focus on achieving the target of evacuation of US led ISAF and stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan. world would be better off if such objectives are accomplished successfully. BBC must live in time and space.
If we won't even admit our mistakes how could we correct them. It's really sad to see our leaders(military or civilian) just come out and deny the very obvious time after time. What do they think! The whole world's STUPID or they're very smart!
Don't call it a sacrifice; no one gave his life on his own. People got killed because they just happened to be in the line of fire of our enemy. And you are the one to put those innocent people, much against their wishes, in the line of fire. They did not sacrifice their lives, don't mislead our people !
I have only one question to ask the foreign ministry and military. Since the defamation and anti-libel laws are so strong in Britain, if the claims in the documentary are false, then BBC can easily be taken to court and shutdown. So i wonder why only press statements are being offered.
Finally a statement from the government , may be you should have done this earlier to further strengthen the statement from ISPR and show unity to the rest of the world. While this said, i have seen the documentary and its ridiculous. They have no evidence and it is pure propaganda.
Denying won't hide the truth.
