Low-intensity explosions in Lahore

LAHORE: Two low-intensity cracker explosions occurred in the Garhi Shahu and Shahdara areas of Lahore on Saturday.

Four people were injured in the first blast that took place in a net cafe in Garhi Shahu. All the equipment present in the cafe has been severely damaged as well.

Another explosion took place in a net cafe in the Shahdara area of the city, where two owners and two customers were injured.

The bomb disposal squad confirmed that one pound worth of explosives were used in the net cafe blast.

Both blast sites have been cordoned off by the police and investigations are underway, while market in the Garhi Shahu area have started to close.

The injured were shifted to hospitals nearby.
