Cricket: Sammy aims for improved batting

DHAKA: West Indies captain Darren Sammy wants his batsmen to fire in a bid to win the second and final Test against Bangladesh. The tourists conceded a 106-run lead in the Test in Chittagong when they posted 244 in their first-innings in reply to the hosts’ 350 for nine declared. “As a batting group we didn’t put up the score we hoped for and it’s a matter of being more patient when we’re at the crease,” said Sammy. “A few batsmen got starts, so the aim will be to convert those starts into big scores.”
