LAHORE:

According to a Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) press release, an overseas Pakistani Ahmedi family established a modern school ‘Interactive Learning System’ at Dunyapur, a tehsil of Lodharan district. It said that some local religious extremists were harassing the wife of Masood Sarwar Gondal and had threatened her life besides launching a propaganda campaign against the educational institution, the press release added.

The press release further said they distributed leaflets, pamphlets and put banners against the institution. The imams of local mosques delivered sermons against them and instigated the public, it added.

The HRCP said, they took out rallies and destroyed the school’s banners. The parents of the students were told not to send their children to the institution, it said. At present there are about 70 students. PRESS RELEASE
