Football: Police win after late goals

KARACHI: Police crushed Baloch FC 3-1 in their Pakistan Premier Football league (PPFL) match yesterday. After a goal-less first half, Police took the lead through Muhammad Ishaq’s goal at the start of the second session. However, the lead was cancelled out following a goal from Baloch FC’s Goram in the 82nd minute. After doing all the hard work to draw level, Baloch FC then suffered a lapse of concentration and Police were quick to punish them as Aimal Khan scored just two minutes later. Naseebullah sealed the victory with a third goal in the 87th minute. Police now occupy 11th place in the league with 19 points while Baloch FC are behind them in 12th with 16 points.
