Mango Farming: Multan growers eye EU exports

MULTAN: An agency of the European Union on Tuesday held detailed discussions with Multan Mango Growers Association (MMGA) for purchasing mangoes from the district for export to the EU countries.  An MMGA delegation will soon visit Holland to finalise the details of the agreement and settle on the terms and conditions. Chamber of Commerce and Industry Civil Fruit Agency’s General Manager Mudassar Sameer also called on the office-bearers of the MMGA to review the implications of the agreement in context of federal government’s trade policy. Meanwhile, Chamber of Commerce and Industry executive member Haseeb Ahmad Khan told APP that growers were committed trade of mangoes across the world.     President Mango Growers Association, Maj (r) Tariq Khan sought government’s cooperation to expand mango exports.
