The former foreign minister said Muslim world as well as having links with the Taliban and Haqqanis which should facilitate arranging talks at either Jeddah, Ankara or Islamabad.
He said that this joint meeting between the three countries and the Taliban should serve as a prelude to the expected Taliban-US.
Sardar Asif said that the three countries should assess their demands and conditions for holding talks with Washington.
He suggested this could be a way forward before moving on to some concrete talks.
