Billboards: Defaulting advertisers to be cut off says CDGK

The CDGK incurs a Rs600 million loss each month.

KARACHI: The DCO of Karachi, Roshan Ali Shaikh, has started removing all those billboards whose owners have not paid their taxes.

Speaking at a meeting of the revenue collecting departments of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK), he said that there are hundreds of such billboards across the city and strict legal action will be taken against their owners. The CDGK incurs a Rs600 million loss each month and the DCO has initiated a number of steps to rectify this, including the review and adjustment of the rent for shops owned by the CDGK.
