MULTAN: Residents protested against the local administration in Chowk Kumharan Wala for not constructing an imambargah on Monday. The protest was led by Multan imam bargah union president Syed Asad Abbas, who said that the existing imam bargah was removed for the construction of the Chowk Kumharaanwala flyover. According to an existing agreement, the administration is required to construct an imambargah before Muharram. “No work has started on this project and the administration is trying to ignore their commitment,” he said. The protesters said that they would continue their protests for the first ten days of Muharram if work on the imambargah did not begin on time.
