Official bribes: Ushr & Zakat accountant booked

MULTAN:
The anti-corruption police arrested an Ushr and Zakat office accountant in Khanewal on charges of corruption on Saturday. According to the anti corruption deputy director Akbar Ali Bhatti, a team raided the Ushr and Zakat offices in Khanewal and arrested accountant Abdul Ghafoor as he was taking a bribe amounting to Rs3,000. Officials also booked Riaz, for issuing a bogus cheque to the official. Police officials have registered a case and are investigating further.
