Motorcycling: Pedrosa storms to pole
The 26-year-old whizzed his way around the 5.5 kilometre course in two minutes.
SEPANG:
Spain’s Dani Pedrosa took a tumble but still claimed his second Moto GP pole position of the season in the gruelling heat of Malaysia as Honda dominated at the Sepang Circuit. The 26-year-old whizzed his way around the 5.5 kilometre course in two minutes and 1.46 seconds. Pedrosa grabbed pole despite a mishap right at the start of the session when he lost the front of his bike going into the final corner. “I made a small mistake,” he said. “I fell down but I got up and did a few laps and secured the pole. Hopefully we can make the right choice of the tyres.”
