PM appoints Dr Mudassir Asrar as Chairperson PCST

Asrar is the dean of Faculty of Life Sciences in the University of Balochistan.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani approved the appointment of Prof Dr Mudassir Asrar as the Chairperson of the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) on Saturday. 

Asrar hails from Balochistan and she is presently working as the Dean Faculty of Life Sciences in the University of Balochistan, Quetta.

Last month, the PCST granted awards to 17 scientists from the Sindh University, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.  Three scientists received an award of category A, one in category B and E , seven in category F and five in category G.
