SIALKOT: The tehsil municipal administration (TMA) has banned the sale of all sacrificial animals in Sialkot city in order to avoid traffic problems.

TMA administrator Pervaiz Iqbal Butt told reporters that the TMA had established a large sale market at Doburji Malhiyaan-Akbarabad Chowk for the sale of sacrificial animals in the district.  Butt said that special TMA vigilance teams had already been deployed to ensure that the sale of the sacrificial animals went smoothly.

He said that the TMA would also ensure the vaccination of all sacrificial animals at the market in a bid to prevent disease.
