Abuse of Power: Cop cops out from bill, thrashes waiter

A waiter at a restaurant on Murree Road was thrashed by a policeman after demanding full payment for items consumed. When the waiter serving the policeman’s table presented a bill for Rs120, the constable handed over Rs20 and refused to pay the remaining amount. When the waiter demanded full payment, the policeman began beating him. The victim later went to the office of SSP Yaseen Farooq, who suspended the constable and opened an inquiry against him. The accused official, Rashid, is a gunman at Waris Khan Police Station. Waris Khan Police SHO Raja Abdul Rasheed claimed that his subordinate was innocent.
