‘Honour’ Killing: Woman killed for eloping

Raheela was a mother of four children and wife of Karamat.

AWAN SHARIF: A group of unidentified people shot and killed a woman for honour on Wednesday. According to police officials, Jalalpur Subtian resident 30-year-old Raheela was shot and killed by unknown assailants after she eloped with her neighbour six months ago. Raheela was a mother of four children and wife of Karamat. Karamat’s relatives told police that she had run away and eloped but Karamat, himself, is missing. Local residents found Raheela’s body in the fields on Wednesday morning. According to police officials, she was shot in the chest several times. Police have handed over the body to the family after an autopsy and are searching for the accused.
