By-elections: Bahawalpur seat up for grabs

Political lobbying is underway for PP-275 in Bahawalpur, vacant due to PML-N's Chaudry Mumtaz Ahmed Jajja's death.

BAHALWALPUR: Various political sections of Bahawalpur have started lobbying for the forthcoming by-elections for the PP-275 seat, Yazman which was recently vacated due to the death of the PML-N leader Chaudry Mumtaz Ahmed Jajja. Sources revealed that the PML-N may allot the ticket for this seat to Mumtaz’s son Khalid Jajja while the PPP and PML-Q are considering a joint candidate. The two parties may select Chaudry Abdul Jabar, Shoaib Karim or Chaudry Mehboob Nasir, it was revealed.
