AlKuwaiti, who owned the compound in Abbottabad where Osama bin Laden was found, was the al Qaeda chief’s courier. His real name is said to be Arshad Khan and he was fatally shot during the May 2 raid in the garrison city.
AlKuwaiti’s wife was injured during the US’ special forces’ operation. She was living with Bin Laden’s family and was taken into custody by secret agencies along with Bin Laden’s two wives and children.
“The commission conducted an exhaustive interview of Abu Ahmed AlKuwaiti’s wife,” a statement issued by the judicial commission said.
Headed by Justice Javed Iqbal, a former judge of the Supreme Court, the commission includes former IG of police Abbas Khan, former diplomat Ashraf Jehangir Qazi and Lt-Gen (retd) Nadeem Ahmed.
In today’s (Tuesday) meeting, the commission will record statements of more officers from the armed forces.
