KARACHI: Javed Mirza, the president of a welfare society in Shireen Jinnah Colony, requested the government, ministry of finance and the governor of State Bank of Pakistan to extend the deadline for exchanging old 500-rupee notes. The last date was September 30, but a lot of people from flood-hit areas could not get it done.  “The people suffered greatly from the closing date for exchange, the government should give them another chance,” he said.
